Xela

After surviving my first round of Montezuma's Revenge, I finally made it to Xela (pronounced Shay-la) yesterday evening, and met my host family for (at least) the next three weeks. They seem very nice, and I've been struggling through basic conversations with them at meals. Contrary to the claims, there is not only one student per family, so I am staying with some folks from Indiana as well. However, it is true that the spanish instruction at the school I'm attending is one-on-one, and my teacher (Celesté) seems very good. In addition to alot of great review, she explained the entire plotline of The Grudge, apparently called La Maldicíon (The Curse) here. Very informative.
